Hey brother, how's everything? I'm thinking of grabbing the fishman DI box with EQ and a tuner you talked about in your gear video. Is it worth every penny? Really ready to not have to rely on a sound guy to control my guitar tone.

Hey homie! All's well here, you? Gonna be at Biennial? So in short, I don't know if I would say it's "worth every penny"...here's why, I haven't been able to dial in a tone from it that just blows me away. Now that could just be my Taylor, or the Expression system pickup, or any number of other things. That being said, it does give me the 3 band EQ, the mute, the anti-feedback, the compression, phase switch, trim and volume and those all work GREAT...it just gives me a lot more control than I used to have. Plus it's got a pre-amp which is great. I haven't found the modeling software to be that great so I don't really use it but that's fine. Also, worth noting that it is active (9V battery) and doesn't come with a power adapter which is stupid an annoying but whatever. So personally I'd give it a B+ or A-. Lots of great features, but final sound on my guitar and my rig is not as great as I was hoping. I'd definitely suggest going to Guitar Center and just trying it out, especially side by side with other similar products. That help?

Okay, that's super helpful. Thank you. I know that these types of pedals can have some features that bring the product down a bit (9 volt for one). I know LR bags makes a similar product, but there's no digital display or tuner feature. So I'll see which gives me the better tone at GC and give you a shout.
